Straight Talk by Trac Phone via Verizon network 1000min/1000 text +web for $30 a month
Posted by Howard on Aug 8, 2009This is a great deal for those who don’t want to be stuck in a wireless phone contract. This is a great deal for the average cell phone user. This would not be good for my teenage son because he sends over 12,000 texts a month. Although, they do have a prepaid card that you can get that has unlimited minutes/texts for $45 a month which is still a really good deal for those heavy users.
- You have to buy one of their phones
- Buy the 100o minutes/text prepaid card
- These minutes do not rollover. You have to renew every month to continue service

It’s a great deal, really. I’m very happy with Straight Talk and am impressed with their coverage on Verizon.
To me, the $30 – 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts deal is unbeatable. I travel and have never had a problem.
When I had Metro POS, it worked fine in town but as soon as I got outside the city, fuhgeddaboutit!
You get what you pay for, or in the case of Straight Talk, MORE than you pay for!
