Description: Coosa Valley Fair Announces Three Separate Contests Offering Lavish VIP Treatment for Lucky Winners
The 61st Annual Coosa Valley Fair will award “Fall’s Fortunate Family”, ”King of the Fair” and “Queen of the Fair” prize packages including free, unlimited access to the fairgrounds, complimentary food and beverages, guest passes for friends, and private reception invitation.
The Fall’s Fortunate Family contest is derived from the 54-year-old Fair slogan – “Fall’s Finest Festival”. The winning family, of up to two adults and four children, will each receive a special pass containing their picture. Prior to the opening of the fair the family will be the guests of honor at a private barbeque. They will be admitted to the fair for free all week long, dine in style at their choice of the six local food booths and receive special treats from the carnival food booths. Each of the children will receive one armband for the day of their choice. Other benefits and prizes are still in the works and will be announced prior to selection
The King of the Fair and Queen of the Fair will be chosen from among local residents between the ages of 16 to 25. Each winner will be treated like royalty for the week with free admission whenever the fair gates are open, two complimentary passes for one-time admission of guests, free food-booth and carnival food, and two armbands good on the day and time slot of the winner’s choice.
“The very successful Free Fair contest from last year has been expanded to become these three new exciting contests. Last year a single winner won five tickets and armbands. This year up to eight winners will receive much bigger prize packages,” said Dan Caesar, President of the Coosa Valley Fair. “We’re heartened by how much the Fair has evolved and grown over the years. The first Fair was held in Rome in the Fall of 1949 and made just under $7000. Fall’s Finest Festival has served as a local tradition and marked the beginning of Autumn for residents of the Coosa Valley ever since. This year’s Fair attendance is expected to be around 80,000,” continued Caesar.
To enter one of the contests go to the Fair’s website at www.coosavalleyfair.com anytime from September 1 – 20, 2009 and click on the link to the online registration form. Only one entry per individual per e-mail address will be counted. The computer will select the winners of all contests. Winners will be announced September 25, 2009. Members of the Rome Exchange Club or their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
The Fair opens Tuesday, October 6th at 5 pm. Hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursday, 5 – 11 pm; Wednesday, 1 – 11pm; Friday, 5 pm – midnight; and Saturday, 10 am – midnight. Wednesday is Kid’s Day with free admission for all students from 1-3 pm. Thursday is Senior Citizen’s day with free admission from 1-5 pm with a special program of entertainment, games and prizes. Stay tuned to the Fair’s website for special discount announcements throughout the week. Those following the Fair on Twitter and Facebook will be the first to receive the latest specials. We understand the significant impact social media and networking has as a marketing tool today and want to embrace this technology. We’re excited to be working with a firm like Tweetraxx who can position us so effectively for future growth,” concluded Caesar.
